France under 21 international Gabriel Obertan is on the verge of joining Manchester United in a £3 million pound deal from Bordeaux.After the departures of Cristiano Ronaldo and Carlos Tevez, Sir Alex Ferguson is looking to strengthen his attacking line up and the versatile Obertan, who can play as a winger or as a central attacker, will provide much needed reinforcement.
Noted for his dribbling, skills and pace, Obertan has been linked to a number of Europe's giants including Arsenal so it will be a great relief to Sir Alex Ferguson who has recently lost out on the signature of Benzema who chose to join European rivals Real Madrid.
At just 20, the talented attacker will also be seen as a long term addition to the Manchester United squad, with veteran players such as Ryan Giggs approaching the end of their careers.

obertan will be great for man u! we needed a young player like him, that we can help mature in to a world class player, just like we did with CR. well done sir alex! now we just need douglas cousta and an experinced player, and we will be stronger then ever.
ReplyDeleteyeah i first thought as soon as manchester let go of carlos and christiano, we were doomed but the fact is look at the new players they are fast exactly what you need in premier league and have the skill and suit our playing style. Just maybe another 1 or 2 transfers and manchester could be on the verge of winning a fourth title
ReplyDeletewell i saw videos at youtube and yeah, he's good... But Douglas Costa is more lethal than him, and what more, Douglas is only 18... Bringing in more midfield may seem absurd but keep in mind that Scholes and Giggs won't be at OT long... So I say snap Costa up...
