France under 21 international Gabriel Obertan is on the verge of joining Manchester United in a £3 million pound deal from Bordeaux.After the departures of Cristiano Ronaldo and Carlos Tevez, Sir Alex Ferguson is looking to strengthen his attacking line up and the versatile Obertan, who can play as a winger or as a central attacker, will provide much needed reinforcement.
Noted for his dribbling, skills and pace, Obertan has been linked to a number of Europe's giants including Arsenal so it will be a great relief to Sir Alex Ferguson who has recently lost out on the signature of Benzema who chose to join European rivals Real Madrid.
At just 20, the talented attacker will also be seen as a long term addition to the Manchester United squad, with veteran players such as Ryan Giggs approaching the end of their careers.
